Avro Lancaster I (ED758 EM-V) on a mission to Berlin on 1944-01-01
207 Squadron's Avro Lancaster Mark 1, serial ED758 with code EM-V, aircraft, with an aircrew of eight, took off from RAF Spilsby on an air operation over Berlin, Germany. The Lancaster failed to return to base following the operation; it is thought that the aircraft was shot down, crashing into the Baltic Sea, and taking the lives of the entire crew.
